Episode Four: This is it, Two months left...

The idea of Project Pedal came about, thanks to Amanda, almost exactly four years ago - and for the last three years, I've been pouring myself into it with my fair share of difficulties along the way.

But thanks to the encouragement of close friends, family and the readers/viewers of this site - I've always picked myself up and kept trying when things dead-ended with Pedal.

I can't imagine where I would be without this site and without everything it has directly been instrumental in sending my way. My amazing crew, the Black Sheep... the professional advice and support of Matt... the much needed and much appreciated relationships with total strangers who've stumbled onto this site in there own ways.

I've learned so much in the last three years, and if I had any advice to pass on to people reading - it would be, whatever your passion or personal project may be, don't go it alone. Start a blog, and be as transparent and inclusive as possible.

I'm excited about these last two months and the two that will follow - I can't wait for the trip to come. I'm nervous. I'm excited. "Breath in pink, exhale blue". There's a lot of details to get into place - but... this is it, two months left. Here we go.
Pedal's 'Episode One' is a finalist in the Flux iPod Film Festival! Please take a moment to vote here. Thanks!

That was Sexy! I can't believe that only took you a day to make. OK that's a joke to anyone out there that thought that was true. That was pretty amazing Mike. Now all those voice overs make sense. I think I saw a picture of me and a video clip of my apartment in there....that will be $5.000 dollars please =0)

Mike - that's WONDERFUL that you won that contest and the $25,000!! I was waiting with bated breath to find out the conclusion and am so happy that the project is funded. I'm sure the casting crew won't be nearly as hard to obtain! I have sent you a check in the mail last week. Wish it could be more - but I'm behind ya!

@Charmaine: Thanks you very much! :) I crew is taken of, the people from 'Another State of Mind' that I mention in this episode are now called 'The Black Sheep', which you can find a link for on the sidebar. And the cast... well, I can't say yet, but I think I'm very close with that also.

Again, thanks so much for the check!

@Phil: Thanks so much for the comment - yes, there were many times when Amanda and I felt very stuck and didn't know how to gain momentum with the project.

You know, I've been thinking of selling some of my equipment to buy a smaller hard-drive based HD camera, for like a $1,100 - and getting a 35kit adapter for it (http://www.sgpro.co.uk/), which only cost around $350... I'd have a much smaller camera that produced a film look :) for much less...

But I'll add you to my address book :) if I'm ever out in the UK, I'll know at least person.
